The UNMC ice rink will be hosting its seventh annual Holiday Skate Day for UNMC students and employees Friday, Dec. 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Strap on some skates, do a few laps around the UNMC ice rink to the tune of favorite holiday classics and enjoy some hot chocolate (while supplies last).
During the Holiday Skate Day event, the UNMC Omaha campus will hold a donation drive for the Nebraska Medicine pediatric patient unit at the UNMC ice rink Those who provide a donation valued at $10 or more will receive a UNMC scarf (while supplies last). Ice rink admission is free for all UNMC and Nebraska Medicine employees and students with a valid ID badge.
The UNMC ice rink, which is open to the public, opened on Dec. 3 and will remain open through Feb. 5.
Hours of operation are:
- Monday: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; 4-8 p.m.
- Tuesday through Thursday: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday: 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
- Sunday: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
