The UNMC campus will celebrate the Lunar New Year at Celebrate Culture, which will be held Friday, Feb. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Williams Science Hall, first floor atrium.
The event is open to the UNMC and Nebraska Medicine community. This year, the event will be serving Asian dishes from China Buffet to the first 100 attendees or until the food is gone.
The first 200 attendees will receive gift bags filled with snacks from East Asian countries.
Interactive tables from these countries will include calligraphy, knot making, origami and red envelope making.
Celebrate Culture is coordinated by the Asia and American Pacific Islander Student Association, Asia and American Pacific Islander Employee Resource Group, UNMC Chinese Students and Scholars Association and the UNMC Office of Global Engagement.
