Laura Bilek, PhD, of the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions, and Lynn Mack, MD, with the UNMC Department of Internal Medicine Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, will present “Comprehensive Approach to Bone Health” on Tuesday, April 18, at noon through Zoom. This webinar is part of the Olson Center for Women’s Health Brown Bag lecture series.

Bone is in a state of constant change throughout people’s lives. As people get older, osteopenia and osteoporosis can occur if people don’t maintain adequate bone density. At the Olson Center Brown Bag, Dr. Bilek and Dr. Mack will discuss appropriate exercise for bone health and which medications, if they are needed, reduce fracture risk and if there are possible side effects.

This is a free event and open to the community. Nursing credit is available for $10. Register by calling the Olson Women’s Health Resource Center at 402-559-6345, email the Olson Center or register through Engage. The Zoom link will be emailed to registrants prior to the event.
