Police need help finding hit and run driver

A pedestrian was struck by a car at 4:29 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, near the entrance of Clarkson Tower at Nebraska Medical Center. Officers say the suspect was driving a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo with in-transit temporary plates and a sunroof. A picture of the actual car is below.   

The driver was traveling eastbound toward the 42nd Street and Dewey Avenue intersection when the vehicle struck and injured a pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to Nebraska Medical Center, where they were treated for their injuries and later released. The vehicle sustained damage to the front left headlight and driver’s side front fender. The driver then fled the scene southbound from the 42nd and Leavenworth streets intersection.
