What drew me to anesthesiology research: While interviewing, the collaborative atmosphere of the anesthesiology department shined. I could tell from the beginning that this was the right team for me.
Why I chose UNMC: UNMC was a natural choice when I wanted to expand my professional experience with research. There is such a wide scope of research going on at any given time.
Education and professional experience: I have a Bachelor of Science in biology and have worked professionally in zoo and research settings since the early 2010s.
Three things people may not know about me:
- I am a member of the Nebraska Kennel Club and of the Akita Club of America.
- I like to draw and paint.
- I have a garden full of native prairie plants and (in summer) pollinators.
