Register now for the Greater Omaha Heart & Stroke Walk

The American Heart Association’s annual Greater Omaha Heart & Stroke Walk will be held in-person on Saturday, May 11, at Miller’s Landing, 151 Freedom Park Road.

The walk, in its 30th year, is the heart association’s premier event in the community. It celebrates heart and stroke survivors, promotes physical activity and heart-heathy living and raises funds for research, advocacy and CPR training.

Today, the American Heart Association is starting its one-day, city-wide rally campaign to recruit 500 walkers and raise $10,000.

As of earlier this week, the UNMC and Nebraska Medicine community has 45 registered walkers, 13 teams and has raised a combined total of $6,041.
