Registration runs through April 15 for the upcoming UNMC Administrative Professionals Day events, offering the theme of “Lead From Where You Are.”

All UNMC administrative professionals have three options to attend the event on April 24.  Two in-person sessions will be held in the Truhlsen Campus Events Center — starting at 9 a.m. and noon — and a virtual session is available for the 9 a.m. session.

On April 3, UNMC hosted an Administrative Professionals Day launch event featuring UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, MD.

“We are excited to celebrate the many and significant contributions of our UNMC administrative professionals during our events scheduled this month,” said Sarah Gloden Carlson, JD, assistant vice chancellor, director for human resources and chief compliance officer. “Our amazing administrative professionals so often go above and beyond to help support UNMC in meeting its mission to lead the world in transforming lives to create a healthy future for all.

“They are also huge contributors to campus culture through their contributions in living the iTEACH values. Our goal is to mix some fun with good information to honor these amazing staff.”

The April 24 event will feature keynote speaker Deborah Dogba, CEO of Business Seals Consulting Firm. Dogba is an organizational strategist whose mission is to bring solutions to businesses and workplaces.

Also at the event will be: Lepaine Sharp-McHenry, DNP, dean of the UNMC College of Nursing; Anne Barnes, UNMC’s vice chancellor for business, finance and business development; Sarah Gloden Carlson, JD, assistant vice chancellor, director for human resources and chief compliance officer; and Linda Cunningham, associate director for UNMC Human Resources.

Registration is required for all sessions. Employees who plan to attend must register by April 15 in Bridge.

A light continental breakfast will be served during the morning session, and a light lunch will be served during the noon session. Participants can attend one session only.

Participants who attend in person must bring their UNMC ID badge to check in. Doors open 15 minutes before each session.

A word search featuring 32 leadership traits is available for administrative personnel to complete and return prior to April 22. All completed forms will be entered into the prize drawing.

Administrative personnel can access the word search with the QR code provided. A PDF also will be sent with the reminder email on April 10.

Individuals interested in volunteering during Administrative Professionals Day can click here and complete the form.
