Walking 10,000 steps per day amounts to walking roughly 70 marathons in one year. Saving $8 a day accumulates to nearly $3,000 in one year.
Small habits add up over time, and the UNMC Office of Faculty Development is imagining the impact of consistent incremental growth for faculty during the 2025-2026 academic year.
Registrations now are live for the 2025-2026 faculty development calendar. Learning topics include interprofessional education, the legal implications of teaching, essentials for promotion and tenure, saving time with AI, leading engaging meetings and more.
Faculty are invited to make a regular commitment to their personal and professional development by attending these free sessions throughout the year. Dates, details and registration links for each session are available at this link.
Additionally, faculty are invited to join colleagues in the faculty commons for monthly gatherings aimed at collaborative, incremental skill and community building. These sessions will be held on the last Monday of each month, starting Aug. 25, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Faculty can learn more about this opportunity and RSVP at this link.
The UNMC Office of Faculty Development welcomes all input from faculty regarding their development needs. Faculty are invited to email their learning interests here.
