Director’s message: Mission continues to be delivering exceptional patient care

I’m extremely excited to have joined the Patient Information Office at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. Over the next few months, my goal is to absorb as much knowledge as I can from the talented group in this office. I look forward to enhancing the incredible work already being done behind the scenes. Our team’s mission is to enable departments to focus on what matters most — delivering exceptional patient care.

I bring more than 30 years of experience across coding, billing, clinic operations, call center and financial oversight. I am an expert in collaborating and building connections that work across departments. My ability to see the bigger picture and connect the dots, has been one of my biggest strengths.  

I was drawn to MMI because of the remarkable programs offered and the dedication of the providers and staff. In the short time I’ve been here, it’s abundantly clear that everyone truly cares and believes in the mission. I feel very fortunate to be part of such a passionate and purpose-driven team. 

As I continue to engage with various departments, I want to understand how the PIO can help improve efficiencies and alleviate some of the daily operational burdens. By doing so, we can become a strong support system that empowers our providers and our staff.

A key focus will be providing monthly data insights to departments. We aim to be the guiding force behind every successful department by offering ancillary support — whether that’s improving referral and authorization tracking, streamlining long waitlists, or advocating for the hard work of our providers by ensuring accurate and timely billing.
