Julia Morrison couldn’t stop smiling. The 10-year-old got the ultimate game-day experience when the Huskers hosted Michigan. From standing just steps away from the iconic Tunnel Walk to watching from the President’s Suite, Morrison lived a dream few kids ever get.
But her story goes deeper than football. Morrison survived thanks to a life-saving bone marrow transplant at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center-Nebraska Medical Center from Erica Brockberg, MD. Fittingly, at halftime on World Marrow Donor Day, Morrison, her family from Lincoln, Dr. Brockberg and her family from Michigan, and Morrison’s care team were honored on the field.
Nebraska Medicine’s Taylor Wilson documented her day by video. Click the Play button below to see this unforgettable day through the happy 10-year-old’s eyes.
