Join Fostering the Future for the group’s annual blanket drive — an event where the UNMC community creates cozy tie blankets for at-risk kids in Omaha. Participants can make blankets on-site or pick up a take-home kit to complete between Nov. 14 and Dec. 1.
All materials and instructions are provided, and finished blankets will be donated to local organizations supporting youth and families.
The blanket making event will be Friday, Nov. 14, from 1:30-6 p.m. in the Linder Reading Room in the Sorrell Center. Free food will be available, first-come, first-served.
