UNMC Human Resources launches The Pulse learning program

UNMC’s Human Resources Office of Learning and Development is launching its rebranded employee learning and development program, The Pulse.

Formerly known as Re-Imagining U, The Pulse continues the mission of empowering employees to grow personally and professionally. Registration is open in the Bridge app via the Learning Library, with courses beginning Nov. 18.

The Pulse is a free training and development program coordinated by UNMC Human Resources that offers a variety of opportunities, resources and tools to help employees achieve their learning goals.

Tuesday, Nov. 18
Frauds, scams and tips
Presented by Shari Strong, vice president, community manager, JPMorgan Chase

  • Join Strong to learn more about Chase Financial Health and Chase Money Skills. Just in time for the holiday season, this session will cover practical ways to help avoid fraud and scams. There will be opportunities to win free merchandise and extra incentives for those attending in person.

Accessibility awareness training
Presented by Mike Kozak

  • Build skills to better support accessibility efforts by exploring the tools and features available to help remediate and make digital content accessible.

From Lifespan to Health Span: Your Daily Formula for Thriving, Not Just Surviving

  • This interactive workshop helps participants take charge of their aging experience through mindset, mindfulness and practical tools. Across five engaging modules, participants will explore their thoughts, values and boundaries, while creating a personalized plan for their health span. Blending neuroscience, self-awareness and inspiration, this session will guide participants to rethink aging and take meaningful steps toward greater wellness. Those attending in person will receive a free workbook.

The Pulse also will feature Digital Literacy, a new series of on-demand video courses available in the Nebraska Bridge App. Search “Digital Literacy” in the Learning Library to explore five areas of digital literacy. Live Zoom sessions led by Mike Kozak will be offered for a deeper dive and Q&A on each topic.
