UNMC held its winter commencement ceremony on Dec. 19 at at Baxter Arena — celebrating the graduation of 427 UNMC students from the graduate college, college of nursing, college of allied health professions and college of public health.
UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, told the graduates: “As I look out on you today, I can’t help but feel uplifted by the future you represent. While this past year has been a challenging one for higher education, our mission as educators – and your mission as scientists, nurses and other health care providers — has become even more important.
“And because of you, and what you represent, I have never been more optimistic about the future.”

“Change is inevitable. Obstacles may appear,” Dr. Davies said. “But your calling is to help the world with solutions to its most challenging health problems, and I am confident that you are very well equipped to do so with the training you have received here from us.”

Shout out to colleague Renee Paulin, DNP! Congrats on your achievement at this ceremony!
