The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will hold a special meeting today (Jan. 15) at 9 a.m. The meeting will take place in the board room at Varner Hall, 3538 Holdrege St. in Lincoln, as well as via livestream.

A full agenda is available on the University of Nebraska website. The livestream for the meeting will be available today.

The board will consider a proposal to shift Nebraska Medicine from dual-member governance by the University of Nebraska and Clarkson Regional Health Services (CRHS) to single-member governance by the University of Nebraska. The opportunity for the shift in governance came about after Clarkson Regional Health Services alerted the university that it intended to withdraw its interest in Nebraska Medicine. CRHS and the university have been dual members in what is now Nebraska Medicine since 1997 and have partnered on efforts to provide clinical care and medical educational opportunities since the 1950s.
