UNMC students are invited to participate in the Global Health Conference Midwest, sponsored by Creighton University School of Medicine.
“Access and Advocacy in Our Changing Global Health Landscape” is the theme of the event, which will be held Feb. 20-21 in the Mike and Josie Harper Center at Creighton University.
The conference is an opportunity for professionals, faculty and students to connect, collaborate and learn about pertinent and emerging topics in global health. The UNMC Office of Global Engagement will pay the registration fee for up to 50 UNMC students to attend the conference.
This popular conference features keynote speakers, panels and breakout sessions covering a range of local and global health topics and includes a research symposium and community fair. The Great Plains Native American Health Symposium is included in the conference.
The conference schedule and registration information can be found at this website.
To take advantage of the free student registration from global engagement, students can email Sara Pirtle and indicate that they are a UNMC student, provide their program name and that they wish to register for the Global Health Conference Midwest. A code will be emailed to enter at the time of registration, which will waive the registration fee.
