Discounts available for Omaha Performing Arts shows

Omaha Performing Arts is offering discounts on tickets to UNMC students and employees for upcoming select shows. Select shows include:

  • “Mamma Mia!”, April 28-May 3. 10% discount on price levels 3, 4 and 5, plus reduced handling fees on all price levels. Excludes weekend matinees. For more than 25 years, people have fallen in love with the characters, story and the hits of ABBA that make “Mamma Mia!” the ultimate feel-good show.
  • Andy Williams and the Nebraska All Stars, May 8. 10% off tickets, plus reduced handling fees. Bandleader Andy Williams showcases his passion for presenting Cuban music, bringing musicians with origins from around Latin America to provide their own mix of styles as the Nebraska All Stars. This 12-piece orchestra has delighted audiences as the region’s only authentic Cuban orchestra.
  • Kevin James, May 10. 10% off tickets, plus reduced handling fees. James began his career as a stand-up on the Long Island comedy scene. After being discovered at the 1996 Montreal Comedy Festival, he signed a network deal for his own sitcom. James can be seen in his one-hour stand-up comedy special “Kevin James: Irregardless” on Prime Video, which was nominated for 2024’s Best Comedy Special by the Critics’ Choice Awards.
  • “Mrs. Doubtfire,” May 12-16. 10% discount on price levels 3, 4 and 5, plus reduced handling fees, excluding Saturday performances. Everyone’s favorite Scottish nanny is headed to Omaha in this internationally acclaimed hit musical critics call “wonderful, heart-warming and laugh-out-loud funny” (Manchester Evening News) and “a feel-good, family-friendly comedy that delivers” (The Hollywood Reporter). Based on the beloved film, “Mrs. Doubtfire” tells the story of an out-of-work actor who will do anything for his kids.
  • “Tastings with Master Sommelier George Miliotes,” May 14. 15% off tickets, plus reduced handling fees. Experience an unforgettable evening led by MIliotes, one of only 273 master sommeliers in the world. This hands-on wine tasting puts rare and remarkable varietals in the spotlight, where every uncorked bottle sparks bold conversation and hidden vineyard stories. In this 90-minute immersive experience at the new Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement, attendees can sharpen their palate with a guided blind tasting of world-class wines, all paired with a chef-crafted charcuterie board designed to amplify every flavor. 
  • “The Princess Bride Live,” May 15. 10% off tickets, plus reduced handling fees. Join actor Cary Elwes, who played the iconic role of Wesley, for a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the classic film “The Princess Bride.” First, relive the magic of the movie, then participate in a discussion revealing secrets and inconceivable antics.
