Additional employee parking options soon will be available in Lot 48, Lot 7, and the EDGE District garage.
These new locations are being added by UNMC Parking Services to give employees more flexibility and choice of where they park. The waitlist is open to anyone interested in securing a spot.
Where the new options are located:
- Lot 48 — East of Clarkson Doctors Building South
- The east portion of the lot will be designated for employee parking.
- The west portion will remain reserved for patient parking.
- Lot 7 — East of Clarkson Doctors Building North
- EDGE District garage — Adjacent to the Catalyst building

Parking rates for FY27
Rates for permitted surface and garage parking will remain the same. The following rates will be updated effective Wednesday, July 1:
- The carpool rate will match the standard lot rate.
- The $3 daily rate (20 hours) will increase to $4.
- A new 24/7 rate will be introduced for those who use campus as their primary parking location.
Carpool renewals begin May 1
Carpool permit renewals will open today (May 1) and must be completed in person at the UNMC Parking Services office, located on level three of the 4230 Building (Business Service Center at 4230 Leavenworth St.).
