Month by month, the Nebraska Medicine Gretna Landing Health Center gets closer to bringing extraordinary care to the growing community.
Another milestone was marked on June 10, as community leaders, building partners, Nebraska Medicine and UNMC leaders and healthcare providers gathered at the Gretna Landing Health Center site to sign a beam that was lifted into place as part of a topping-off ceremony.
“There’s stress and drama when we break ground, but there’s a lot of joy when we top off,” said Jay Noddle, CEO of Noddle Companies.
Nebraska Medicine is partnering with Noddle Companies on the project, which will open to patients in the second half of 2027.

However, the ceremony was more than just about a steel beam. It was about what was taking shape and what would be opening its doors in 2027.
During the ceremony, Nebraska Medicine CEO Michael Ash, MD, emphasized that the event marked what Gretna Landing Health Center represents for the local community, Sarpy County and the region.
“This health center represents our continued commitment to expanding access and care, to meet the growing demand for serious medicine and extraordinary care,” he said. “Bringing this care means more personalized care, more access to our world-class experts, and convenience right here in Gretna for current and future patients.”
Gretna Mayor Mike Evans shared his appreciation for Nebraska Medicine and the world-class care the health system provides. “What I’m excited about is the impact Nebraska Medicine and the people inside those walls are going to make on our community,” he said.
Services at the Nebraska Medicine Gretna Landing Health Center will include:
- Primary and specialty care
- Orthopaedics and sports medicine
- Imaging technologies
- Laboratory services
- Urgent Care services
- Pharmacy
- Procedural spaces
Kevin Garvin, MD, chair of the UNMC Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, also spoke at the ceremony, reiterating that it’s a celebration for what’s to come for the people of Gretna.
“Today is much more about Gretna and the people we’re going to provide care for than a new building,” he said. “It’s about investing in the future, ensuring exceptional health care is delivered to you in your community.”
Gretna Landing, located northwest of Highway 370 and 192nd Street, includes a 31-acre mixed-use project that will include office space and professional services, along with retail spaces, restaurants, fitness and wellness-focused retailers and residential units.
