Registration is open for the UNMC and Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center’s Cancer Survivorship Conference, to be held Sept. 4 at the Scott Conference Center at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
The event’s theme is “Surviving Cancer Together,” and the event will feature:
- Opportunities to connect and explore survivorship resources.
- Discussions centered on cancer survivorship from leading experts.
- Free breakfast and lunch for those attending in person.
Health professionals who attend also can receive continuing education credits.
The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center’s Laura Tenner, MD, event organizer and associate professor in the UNMC Division of Oncology and Hematology, said the event is for both patient and providers.
“We will have presentations featuring the most up-to-date, evidence-based information, as well as patient and provider panels to discuss issues facing cancer survivors,” Dr. Tenner said.
Community groups also will have informational booths at the event.
