The fall intramural season is shaping up with registration now open through Sunday, Aug. 30 for futsal (indoor soccer), pickleball, indoor volleyball and sand volleyball.
The futsal season runs Sept. 8-Oct. 13 with leagues playing on Tuesday nights, 5:30 to 9 p.m. on the Center for Healthy Living activity courts (gym). The league is coed recreation, 6 x 6 (five field players and one goalie). Games are 45 minutes, with teams playing two 14-minute halves. Futsal teams can include no more than three non-UNMC/Nebraska Medicine individuals. Cost is $120 per team.
Pickleball league plays Sept. 9-Oct. 14 on Wednesday nights, 5:30 to 9 p.m. in the CFHL gym. The doubles recreation league plays the best two out of three games. Pickleball teams must be all UNMC or Nebraska Medicine students or colleagues. Cost is $40 per team.
The indoor volleyball season runs Sept. 10-Oct. 15 with leagues playing on Thursday nights, 5:30 to 9 p.m. in the CFHL gym. The league is coed recreation, 6 x 6. Teams play to 25 points, best two out of three sets. Teams can include fewer than half non-UNMC/Nebraska Medicine individuals. Cost is $120 per team.
The sand volleyball league plays Sept. 14-Oct. 26 on Monday nights, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Aksarben Village Plaza courts (6750 Mercy Rd.). The division is coed recreation, 6×6. Teams play two 30-minute matches. Teams can include fewer than half non-UNMC/Nebraska Medicine individuals. The cost is $120 per team.
