Brinker Harding, a candidate running to represent Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District in Congress, visited UNMC on Aug. 28. The district includes Douglas County, Saunders County and areas of western Sarpy County. He currently serves on the Omaha City Council, representing district 6.
Harding met with Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, and Jeff Kratz, UNMC’s director of government relations.
Harding also was briefed on the Center for Sustainment of Trauma and Readiness Skills (C-STARS), a collaboration between UNMC, Nebraska Medicine and the Air Force Research Laboratory’s School of Aerospace Medicine.
He concluded his visit with a tour of the medical center’s Innovation Design Unit.
Harding said he is grateful for the work done and its impact on the community.
“I came to see all of the incredible things being worked on here in Omaha,” he said. “And the incredible impact the medical center has not only statewide, but countrywide and worldwide.”
