Discounts available for Omaha Performing Arts shows

Omaha Performing Arts is offering discounts on tickets to UNMC students and employees for upcoming select shows. Select shows include:

  • “Ghostbusters” in concert, Oct. 6. Experience the beloved 1984 comedy on a large HD screen at the Orpheum Theater while a live orchestra performs Elmer Bernstein’s Academy Award®-nominated score. It is the full “Ghostbusters” film with supernatural laughs and music brought vividly to life.
  • ​Get The Led Out, Oct. 9. Get The Led Out recreates the depth and detail of Led Zeppelin’s legendary studio recordings with a powerful six-piece lineup. Hear favorites including “Rock and Roll,” “Whole Lotta Love,” “Kashmir” and “Stairway to Heaven” in a live celebration of classic rock at the Orpheum Theater.
  • Emmaline in concert, Oct. 10-11. Nashville-based jazz-pop vocalist, violinist and songwriter Emmaline returns to the Holland Music Center for a romantic, retro-inspired tribute to Frank Sinatra. Her distinctive voice and lush big-band sound bring a fresh, intimate twist to Sinatra’s beloved classics.
  • Snarky Puppy, Oct. 14. Five-time Grammy®-winning Snarky Puppy blends funk, R&B, soul, rock, fusion and jazz into a sound all its own. Led by bassist Michael League, the collective delivers an energetic live experience filled with groove, emotion and remarkable musicianship.
  • “Sugar Skull! A Día de Muertos Musical,” Oct. 14. This bilingual and bicultural family musical follows 12-year-old Vita Flores on a magical journey to discover the meaning of Día de Muertos. Traditional Mexican music and dance bring her adventure with a spirited candy skeleton, ancient ancestors and colorful characters to life.
  • Sonic Live, Oct. 15. Celebrate 35 years of Sonic the Hedgehog with live musicians, electronics and vocalists performing music from across the video game franchise. Iconic gameplay moments, fan favorites and musical Easter eggs create an electrifying experience for Sonic fans of all ages.
  • Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Oct. 23. Complexions Contemporary Ballet pairs raw athleticism with sleek precision in a boundary-breaking evening of dance. The program features LOVE ROCKS, an energetic celebration set to the music of Lenny Kravitz.
  • “Death Becomes Her,” Oct. 27-Nov. 1. Famous actress Madeline Ashton and her best frenemy, Helen Sharp, take their rivalry too far after encountering a mysterious woman and a potion promising eternal beauty. Based on the 1992 film, this Tony Award®-winning musical comedy delivers big laughs, glamorous spectacle and a deliciously wicked story.
