Chris Anderson, a candidate running to represent Legislative District 20, visited UNMC on Oct. 13. The district, in central Douglas County, includes a portion of Omaha.
Anderson started his campus visit meeting with UNMC Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, at the Davis Global Center.
The tour took Anderson through the National Quarantine Unit before highlighting UNMC’s cutting-edge medical simulation program.
Anderson said he was impressed with how efficiently and effectively the quarantine unit operates.
“UNMC has the capability to allow us to excel as a state overall,” Anderson said. “The mission set distinguishes us from other centers across the U.S. This is something we can grow upon.”
