Omaha Performing Arts is offering a very limited number of free tickets to members of the UNMC community for the Nov. 15 Black Violin show at 4 p.m. at the Holland Performing Arts Center.
Black Violin returns to Omaha with their electrifying new project, “Full Circle,” blending the refinement of classical music with the pulse of hip-hop. Members Kev Marcus and Wil Baptiste have spent nearly two decades redefining what string music can be, fusing virtuosic violin and viola with modern beats, vocals, and cinematic flair.
From their early days performing in South Florida clubs to winning Showtime at the Apollo and headlining sold-out performances at prestigious venues like The Kennedy Center, Black Violin has captivated audiences across the globe. As NPR noted, “their music will keep classical music alive for the next generation.”
To be entered to win two tickets (per person), members of the UNMC community can email the UNMC events team by Oct. 30. The randomly selected individuals who receive a ticket will be notified Nov. 2 via email.
