The UNMC campus community is invited to Spring Spirit Day from 2 to 4 p.m. today.
The event will feature a free popcorn bar and root beer floats on the second floor of the Sorrell Center, by the north entrance.
“Spirit Day is a chance for the university to say thank you to the hard-working faculty, staff and students that make this such an extraordinary institution,” said Jessica Brummer, associate director of events and community outreach. “We hope the members of the UNMC community come out for some ice cream, popcorn and fun.”
To make the week even more fun, UNMC is also holding a UNMC “selfie” contest. Upload your favorite UNMC-related “selfie” to the UNMC Facebook page. The photo can be of daily work, a favorite place on campus, or any UNMC-related experience. Selfies can be uploaded from now to April 4 — the selfie with the most likes on Facebook by the end of the day on April 4 will win a prize.
