Joslyn lecture highlights Andrew Moore photographs

On Nov. 15, Toby Jurovics, the Joslyn Art Museum’s chief curator and Richard and Mary Holland Curator of American Western Art, will present an illustrated overview of the exhibition “Dirt Meridian: Photographs by Andrew Moore.” The presentation will take place at noon in the Sorrell Center, Room 2010. The exhibit will be on view at the Joslyn through Jan. 8.

During the past decade, Moore made more than a dozen trips to photograph along the 100th meridian, from North Dakota to the Texas panhandle. His images record vistas that can be both elegant and severe, as well as the lives of the people that have made their home in this challenging landscape.

Please RSVP to unmcevents@unmc.edu if you will be attending the presentation on Nov. 15. A minimum of 10 people must sign up or the program will be canceled.

The presentation is part of the Passport Partners program, which provides free museum admission for UNMC and Nebraska Medicine employees, students and their immediate family with a valid identification badge, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on campus.
