Med center fields team for Parkinson’s walk

Nebraska Medicine is a Silver Sponsor for the upcoming Parkinson’s Moving Day Omaha Walk on Saturday, April 28, at Stinson Park in Aksarben Village.

Moving Day Omaha is a fundraising walk event designed to unite families, friends and communities in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. Saturday’s event will feature a family-friendly walk course, a kids area, a caregivers relaxation tent and a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance, Tai Chi, Pilates, all proven to help manage the symptoms of PD.

All members of the medical center community are invited to register here to join the Nebraska Medicine/UNMC team for the event.

On the day of the event, on-site registration will open at 9 a.m. The walk will start at 10:30 a.m. The half-mile walk is free and untimed, and donations go to support the work of the Parkinson’s Foundation.
