The data breach disclosed this week by Lincoln-based Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., the third-party administrator for the University of Nebraska’s dental plan, has a minimal impact on NU employees.
Ameritas has informed the university that only one employee was among those whose personal information was potentially exposed as a result of the breach. That employee, whose identity and campus affiliation is not known, has been notified by Ameritas and offered the appropriate precautions.
