Phares visits UNMC

University of Nebraska Regent Robert Phares speaks with Ken Cowan, M.D., Ph.D., director of UNMC Eppley Cancer Center, during a visit to UNMC on Friday.

Newly-appointed University of Nebraska Regent Robert Phares took his first tour of the UNMC campus on Friday.

The North Platte native had lunch with UNMC officials and then toured the Durham Reseach Center, the hospital emergency room and the Eppley Cancer Center.

Phares was appointed in August as regent for District 7 by Gov. Dave Heineman.
