A clothing drive to benefit patients at UNMC’s hospital partner, The Nebraska Medical Center, will be held Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. outside of CornerStone Gift Shop in the University Tower Atrium.
The clothing will be used to help supply “The Auxiliary’s Closet.” The closet is a new initiative of the University Hospital Auxiliary to help meet the needs of patients who may not have appropriate clothing available for dismissal.
Organizers are specifically looking for adult sized, new or clean, gently used sweatshirts, sweatpants, t-shirts, scrubs, flannel lounge or sport pants, coats, gloves, jackets, hoodies, hats, crocs, tennis shoes or boots. Underwear and socks need to be new!
Unacceptable items include jeans, dress pants, button down shirts, skirts, accessories or any children’s clothing.
Cash donations will be accepted.
