Recycle those old mobile phones

Employees and students can recycle used personal cell phones by placing them in campus courier envelopes, stapling them shut, and sending them to “Campus Mailroom, Cell Phone Recycling.”

UNMC employees who wish to recycle old personal cellular telephones can do so on campus.

Simply place your old phone in one of those campus courier envelopes, staple it shut and send it to “Campus Mailroom, Cell Phone Recycling.”

This program is strictly for personal cell phones, chargers and batteries, said Rick Boldt, UNMC’s campus recycling coordinator.

Those who have old phones that were provided by UNMC can send them to Hali Sedlak at ZIP 5050 to be recycled, Boldt said.
