Joyce Black, Ph.D.

Winona State University (WSU) awarded an honorary doctorate degree to alumna Joyce Black, Ph.D., professor in the College of Nursing, during the school’s spring commencement ceremony.

This is the fourth honorary doctorate degree awarded by the university in its 151-year history.

Dr. Black — a 1978 graduate of WSU — has achieved national recognition for her expertise in the area of pressure ulcer research.
