- People with disabilities make up the nation’s largest minority as one in five Americans have a disability.
- The employment rate of working-age people with disabilities is 45.2 percent.
- The employment rate of working-age people without disabilities is 84 percent.
- The percentage of working age people without disabilities who work full time is 66 percent.
- The percentage of working age people with disabilities who work full time is 26.4 percent.
- The gap between employment rates of working-age people with and without disabilities is 38.8 percent.
