It’s Patient Safety Awareness Week at Nebraska Medicine and UNMC. Throughout the week, events and activities at the med center have help remind everyone of the role they play in keeping patients safe.
One popular activity is the Hot Mess Express, and there’s still time to participate. This is a simulation-based activity where students, faculty and staff across all roles can join in to identify patient safety concerns in a scenario. After sharing the patient safety concerns, they are entered into a drawing for a chance to win a prize.
This year, the patient safety team collaborated with the Innovation Design Unit and iEXCEL team to prepare the Hot Mess Express virtual activity.
