New resident spotlight: Trevor Daubert

Trevor Daubert, MD

Trevor Daubert, MD, is a new resident physician with the UNMC Department of Anesthesiology.

Medical School: UNMC

Why did you choose the medical field? In addition to watching the impact different physicians made on the lives of my family members, I had a love for science and a passion for helping others and figured it was the right career path for me.

What made you choose anesthesiology? As someone who enjoyed many different facets of my clinical rotations, I found anesthesiology to be a great combination of cerebral medicine and procedural interventions, while also offering great diversity in patient populations and acuity of diseases. I also found the field to be very rewarding, with great career flexibility and longevity.

List three accomplishments you are proud of:

  • Getting accepted into medical school
  • Being tied for seventh place after the first day of the state golf tournament – don’t ask me how the second day went.
  • Getting selected to be the undergraduate commencement speaker at my alma mater, the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

List three things about you that others may not know:

  • I have a twin sister.
  • I love to golf.
  • I enjoy cooking with my wife, Taylor.
