College of Nursing names annual award winners

Jordan Pieper, Ana Lara-Ramirez and Teresa Hultquist, PhD, represented the CCNE Accreditation Team for the UNParalleled Fellowship Program to accept the Distinguished TEAM Award. The UNMC College of Nursing celebrated a year of achievements and innovation with its annual staff and faculty meeting on May 14.

The day kicked off with a welcome from Lepaine Sharp-McHenry, DNP, dean of the UNMC College of Nursing, and the college’s annual staff and faculty awards ceremony. This year’s workshop was “Enhancing Communication Through Improv Techniques,” featuring Dr. Michael Smith and Timmy Tamisiea. The workshop challenged participants to explore communication skills through improv activities.
