Campus blood drive is July 8
The Nebraska Community Blood Bank, the provider of blood for Nebraska Medicine, will hold a blood drive on the UNMC Omaha campus Tuesday, July 8, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
The bloodmobile will be parked outside the Lied Transplant Center.

UNMC retirements announced
In June, UNMC Human Resources announced four retirements and two upcoming retirements.
Retirees included Jeffrey Ebel of public safety, who retired May 31 after a 35-year career at UNMC that began March 1, 1990.
Other retirements announced this month:
- Grace Johnson, DPT, UNMC Department of Physical Therapy, retired July 1 (start date Oct. 1, 2000).
- Debra Griffith, Eppley Institute, retired June 6 (start date April 2, 2001).
- Emmanuel Eugenio, MD, UNMC Department of Pediatrics-Emergency Medicine, retired May 9 (start date July 1, 2018).
- Donna Moro-Sutherland, MD, UNMC Department of Pediatrics-Emergency Medicine, retired July 2 (start date Feb. 1, 2021).
- Anne Williamson, DDS, UNMC College of Dentistry, retired June 28 (start date July 1, 2021).
