The UNMC College of Dentistry welcomed seven new faculty members from April through August. They are:

- Tammie Vargo, DHA, also associate professor, dental hygiene (start date July 1)
Associate professor:
- Bruce Kuhn, MD, DDS, volunteer, surgical specialties (start date May 22)
Assistant professors:
- Nancy Adams, PhD, oral biology (start date July 1)
- Farheen Malek, MDS, growth and development, adult restorative dentistry (start date June 30)
- Kristy Marker, DDS, also residency program director, surgical specialties (start date Aug.18)
Instructors:
- Kort Igel, DDS, growth and development (start date April 29)
- Craig Vacek, DDS, adult restorative dentistry (start date May 16)
