UNMC Day at Durham Museum set for Dec. 9

The Durham Museum Christmas tree

UNMC Campus Engagement invites the campus community to celebrate the season together at UNMC Day at The Durham Museum on Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 4-6 p.m.

The come-and-go event invites UNMC faculty, staff, students and their families to explore Omaha’s historic museum, enjoy its seasonal exhibits and connect with colleagues as the year winds down.

The Durham Museum provides free museum admission for UNMC employees, students and their immediate family with a valid identification badge, and attendees are free to arrive at any time during the two-hour window.

Visitors are encouraged to wear UNMC apparel and bring friends, family members or colleagues to experience the museum’s holiday offerings, including the celebrated Christmas at Union Station displays.

A group photo will be taken at 5:15 p.m. in front of the museum’s grand Christmas tree.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to RSVP on the UNMC ENGAGE event page at this link.

In addition to the UNMC event, visitors can stay and enjoy the museum’s Family Night and Holiday Concert Series, which runs from 5-8 p.m. the same evening and features festive performances and activities.

Attendees are invited to send a photo from their visit or sharing their favorite exhibit following the event. Submissions may be sent to this UNMC Campus Engagement email following the event.

Free parking is available in the west lot of the museum. For questions regarding accessibility, email The Durham Museum.
