Wellbeing conference to discuss human connection

Health care providers standing together to join their arms high

Children’s Nebraska will host the second annual Wellbeing Conference, with the theme “The Power of Human Connection.” It is scheduled for Friday, March 13, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Scott Conference Center, 6450 Pine St. in Omaha.

The in-person event will provide resources and strategies to improve the wellbeing and resiliency of the health care workforce.

The keynote presentation is by Stephen Doran, MD, neurosurgeon with MDWestONE, and is titled “You Cannot Love What Shocks You: The Call to Accompany Those Who Suffer.”

Other agenda highlights include:

  • “Schwartz Rounds: The Cost of Connection”
  • “Share Your Work: Wellbeing in Action”
  • “Planning for Self-Care: Creating an Action Plan”
  • Caring for the caregiver
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Guided wellbeing activities
  • On-site service project

Registration fees, which include breakfast, lunch and refreshments, are $100 for physicians and APPs and $75 for nurses and other roles.
