Three other fellows are familiar faces: Entering the second year of their fellowships are Phassawan Rungsiprakarn, MD, in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics and Shawn Freed, PhD, in Clinical Microbiology. In addition, Ahmed Ahmed, MBBCh, who was a hematopathology fellow in 2025-2026, will be a fellow in Molecular Genetic Pathology starting in July.
