Janet Bock, a candidate for Nebraska’s Legislative District 30 seat, toured UNMC on Aug. 18.
Bock met with UNMC Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, and Jeff Kratz, UNMC director for government relations.
She also toured the Davis Global Center, including iEXCEL, UNMC’s simulation and experiential learning hub. The visit concluded with a stop at the Global Center for Health Security’s Training, Simulation, and Quarantine Center.
Bock, a former UNMC nursing student, pointed to the interaction between medical and nursing students, and the broader integration of medical careers that happens on campus, as one of the most impressive things she saw.
Bock said she’s excited to see the progress in assets UNMC is providing for the state of Nebraska and its citizens, adding she’s glad students have the opportunity to learn and grow here.
This visit does not represent an endorsement of any candidate or political party by UNMC, the University of Nebraska System, or the NU Board of Regents.
