SuAnn Witt, a candidate running to represent Legislative District 14, visited UNMC on Sept. 9. The district, in north-central Sarpy County, includes portions of La Vista and Papillion.
Witt started her campus visit by meeting with Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.
Witt said she’s proud of the work being done at UNMC, including on campuses across the state. She was impressed by the “altruistic care” and calling to serve demonstrated in faculty and staff.
“The University of Nebraska Medical Center is a point of pride for the state of Nebraska and we should do everything we can to maintain that status,” Witt said.
This visit does not represent an endorsement of any candidate or political party by UNMC, the University of Nebraska System, or the NU Board of Regents.
