Candidate Christy Knorr tours UNMC

Christy Knorr

Christy Knorr, a legislative candidate for District 12, toured UNMC on Sept. 11.

District 12 is in south-central Douglas County and includes parts of Omaha, Millard and the entire city of Ralston.

Knorr met with UNMC Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, and Jeff Kratz, UNMC director of government relations, during a visit to the Omaha campus that included a tour of Psychiatric Emergency Services led by Jen Sparrock, PES manager.

Knorr, a nurse, said returning nursing expertise to the statehouse is among her priorities.

“We haven’t had a nurse in the legislature since 2002, and it is time to change that. We need a nurse back in the legislature to help us make decisions and take care of Nebraskans.”
