Rebecca Rens, a candidate for Legislative District 10, which is in Douglas County and includes parts of Omaha, toured UNMC earlier this month.
Rens met with UNMC Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, and Jeff Kratz, UNMC director of government relations, during her tour, which included speaking with members of the UNMC Department of Emergency Medicine.
Ren, a member of the UNMC Board of Counselors, said the tour was a chance for her to gain a better understanding of an institution she called instrumental to the health of the state.
“There’s so much going on here, so many exciting developments happening,” she said. “I love the way UNMC is spreading across the state and providing access to high quality care.”
