Legislative candidate Cindy Johnson recently toured UNMC.
Johnson, who is a candidate for Legislative District 10 in central and northwest Douglas County, met with UNMC Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, and toured the iEXCEL program in the Davis Global Center with iEXCEL’s Jayme Boyko.
She also toured the Training, Simulation, and Quarantine Center with Dossy Felts of the Global Center for Health Security.
Johnson called UNMC one of Nebraska’s flagship institutions.
“We have programs across across the entire state, which is incredibly important for people who work and live in rural Nebraska. If we don’t have access to good healthcare, then people are not able to work and live the lives they want to live — so having this institution is critical to the success of the people of our state.”
This visit does not represent an endorsement of any candidate or political party by UNMC, the University of Nebraska System, or the NU Board of Regents.
