Cally Ideus, a candidate running to represent Legislative District 30, visited UNMC on Sept. 24. The district, in southeast Nebraska, includes Gage County and part of Lancaster County.
Ideus started her campus visit by meeting with UNMC Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.
Ideus said she was impressed with the level of intention and the dedication to the entire state that is on display. As a combat veteran, she was appreciative of the campus’ partnership with veteran organizations.
“The forward thinking and being a leader in research and development will take Nebraska to a new level,” Ideus said. “It’s really something I’m willing to support.”
This visit does not represent an endorsement of any candidate or political party by UNMC, the University of Nebraska System or the NU Board of Regents.
