From left: Beau Konigsberg, M.D., Scott Swanson, M.D., David Buck, M.D., and Kimberly Turman, M.D., during festivities Friday commemorating their residency training graduation from the UNMC orthopaedic surgery department.

Dr. Konigsberg will head to Chicago to do a fellowship at Rush University Medical Center. Dr. Swanson will do a fellowship at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Fla. Dr. Buck is going into practice at Heartland Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Fremont and Dr. Turman will take on a fellowship at the University of Virginia.

As a side note, those Nebraska football fans whose ears perked up at the mention of Dr. Turman’s name, your Husker senses are correct. Dr. Turman is the wife of former Nebraska quarterback Matt Turman, who was affectionately dubbed the “Turmanator” for filling in as a backup to Tommie Frazier and Brook Berringer on the Cornhuskers’ 1994 national champion football team.
