picture disc.Quick, think of five things others should know about you.

That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee or student to feature.

This week, we feature Vicki Hamm, UNMC’s Graduate Medical Education Program administrator.

Here, in her own words, are five fun facts about Vicki:

  • I grew up in Cook, Neb., a town of 300 people.

  • I have two children, a daughter, Jamie, who is an environmental scientist and lives in San Francisco, and a son, Tyler, who is a mechanical engineer and lives in Scotland.

  • I have worked in graduate medical education for the past 33 years for the same boss.

  • I officiate many of the Class A high school volleyball matches in the metro area. I have played competitive volleyball for many years and was named an All-American in the over 35 age division in 1994.

  • I am very proud of my flower gardens and had the “Bellevue Garden of the Month” for June.
