How I fell in love with Emergency Medicine:
I enjoy working in close collaboration with my fellow physicians, nurses, RT, techs, etc. The team aspect is appealing.

Three things people may not know about me:
- I have three dogs.
- I worked construction when I was younger. I helped build a school, ethanol plant, and various other projects.
- I am the oldest of three brothers. Both of my brothers now live in Omaha. One is a cook, and one moves commodities for a shipping company.
UNMC is fortunate to add Dr. Kalin to the faculty. He is extremely bright and he is 100% committed to each of his patients. Welcome aboard, Dr. Kalin!
